The meerkats’ chosen habitat is the semi-desert environment of the Kalahari in Southern Africa, and Africa specialist Aardvark Safaris offers three properties where they can be observed at close quarters. In Botswana, there are Jack's Camp and San Camp, and the third is Tswalu in South Africa. All three properties have a resident group of meerkats that visitors can spend time with.
Four nights at Tswalu, a lodge in the Kalahari Desert, combined with four nights at the Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town costs from $5,850 person. This price includes full board accommodation at Tswalu and bed and breakfast at Cape Town, internal flights and airport transfers. Excluded are international flights, visas and personal spending.
