Business travel between Dubai and India is rising steeply, inspiring Dubai-based carrier Emirates to expand its Indian operation with 18 additional flights per week to New Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The new frequencies will be introduced between July and October. This will bring the carrier’s total to 132 flights to India per week, which Emirates cites as being the highest-ever frequency for an international carrier in the Indian skies.
The additional flights will be utilize Boeing 777 and Airbus A330-200 aircraft in two and three-class configurations, and will add over 5,900 seats on the Indian routes. The enhanced capacity to India will provide corporate and leisure travelers with connections from New York and Houston. Passengers from the West Coast will be able to fly from Los Angeles starting September 1 and San Francisco starting October 26.
