In what Delta Air Lines is calling a first, the carrier will provide dockside check-in service at the Port of Barcelona for those travelers returning from a Mediterranean cruise and flying to either New York's JFK or Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airports. Customers arriving at the port's cruise Terminal B on Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Line and Holland America ships will be able to check in for their Delta flights, check baggage and obtain boarding passes. The service is available on Delta's two nonstop flights from Barcelona (DL95 to New York and DL115 to Atlanta). Delta says it will offer the service on a permanent basis, and, in time, roll it out to all cruise ships.
"Delta is committed to simplifying the travel experience of our customers," said Asunción Perez, commercial director, Delta Air Lines. "Checking-in at the cruise terminal will allow Delta passengers to easily transition between their cruise and their flight home."
Delta asks cruise passengers to contact their travel agent to determine of dockside check-in is available for their cruise. Visit www.delta.com.
