HRG, Valerie Wilson Travel Inc. Form Joint Venture

HRG North America and Valerie Wilson Travel, Inc. (VWT) have formed a unique leisure travel alliance that will outsource the existing and new leisure travel business derived from HRG managed corporate accounts to VWT for fulfillment.

Until now, leisure travel had been handled by a legacy department of HRG from its Stamford, CT offices. With this agreement, four concierge consultants (Glenna Grogan, Paula Iacobazzo, Donna Ormond and Elena Tana) were transitioned from Stamford to the VWT office in Greenwich, CT. From there, they will continue to service the leisure travel needs of HRG’s corporate clientele. This includes the resources and leisure-based technology that VWT can provide.

Dana Griffin, former director of leisure travel and EMM operations in Stamford, will also make the move, and will focus on building new leisure opportunities in conjunction with HRG’s business management and corporate travel sales teams.

This structured marketing and fulfillment alliance, designed to seamlessly serve high-end leisure customers, was devised by Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg, co-president of VWT, and Paul Salvatore, president of HRG North America events and meetings management/leisure. The new leisure marketing and fulfillment alliance will be overseen by Kimberly Wilson Wetty, co-president of Valerie Wilson Travel, Inc.
