Jet Airways, an international airline based in India, and United Airlines have formed a frequent flyer partnership in which United's Mileage Plus members and Jet Airways' JetPrivilege members may earn and redeem miles on each carrier's flights. The partnership is effective November 15. Miles will not count on Jet Airways' San Francisco and Shanghai flights.
"Besides boosting connectivity across the busy USA-India sector, this partnership will also enable the passengers of both carriers to tap into their respective international networks, while earning and redeeming frequent flyer miles, " said Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO of Jet Airways.
Jet Airways operates flights to 64 destinations within India and beyond, including New York (both JFK and Newark), San Francisco, Toronto, Brussels, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
