WRTA Extends Membership Drive

The World Religious Travel Association (WRTA) is extending its membership drive for travel agents through June 30. Travel agents can save $100 or as much as $150 if they belong to a consortium when they join WRTA as a member and register to attend WRTA’s fall World Religious Travel Expo.

“As many travel providers and agents are learning, the faith tourism market continues to remain one of the most consistent and dependable producers of revenue in this year of uncertainty,” said Kevin J. Wright, WRTA president. “By continuing the New Year/New Client savings campaign, more travel agents can now tap into the burgeoning and robust marketplace of the religious traveler.”

Wright noted that more tour operators are entering or expanding their presence in the faith tourism marketplace including Trafalgar Tours, CIE Tours International, EIS-European Incoming Services and Unitours.  “There has never been a more important or opportune time for travel agents to take advantage of religious travel market networking opportunities, education, and business resources,” said Wright. The WRTA estimates the global faith tourism market at $18 billion.

The World Religious Travel Expo will be held October 29-November 1, 2008 at the Gaylord Palms Resort Hotel & Convention Center in Orlando. Visit www.ReligiousTravelAssociation.com.
