Viking River Cruises, which offers river cruises and cruise tours through Europe, Russia and China, is giving anyone who has taken an ocean cruise a special discount of $500 per person—or $1,000 per couple—on any 2009 itinerary.

Viking is also reaching out to its valued travel agent partners with a bonus commission of up to $250 per couple for 2009 bookings. Travel agents can claim a bonus of $150 per couple booked on eight-day itineraries, and $250 per couple booked on longer itineraries. A bonus commission coupon is available on the company’s new travel agent portal. Preferred Agents can print as many as they need (registering as a Preferred Agent is free).

To take advantage of this offer, prospective guests’ travel agents only need to tell Viking when and where they took their ocean cruise and with which cruise line. The ocean cruisers offer may be combined with up to two other current discounts being offered, including any advertised early booking discounts, Past Guest discounts and Refer-A-Friend travel credits. It is good on any 2009 itinerary and runs from November 1, 2008 through December 19, 2008.
