Horizon Air will offer daily, nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Mammoth Mountain for the upcoming 2008/2009 winter sports season. The new flight route is expected to boost tourism to Mammoth by facilitating inbound travel from a wide variety of national and international airlines that fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Meanwhile, travelers leaving Mammoth will have connections to multiple destinations from coast-to-coast to around the world– served by Alaska Airlines, Horizon and other airlines at LAX. The service begins December 18 and runs through April 12, 2009.
The 65 minute flight will depart LAX daily at 2:20 p.m. and arrive at Mammoth Yosemite Airport at 3:25 p.m. Return flights leave Mammoth at 4:05 p.m. and arrive at LAX at 5:10 p.m.
For a limited time, introductory fares of $79 each way for travel from Los Angeles to Mammoth are available during select days in January 2009.
