The ship was acquired from a ship-owning family, which had owned it since 1995. The ship will join Travel Dynamic's fleet in the spring of 2009, following a refurbishment, including upgrading the ship's hull for Antarctica and Arctic cruises.
During the summer and early fall, Clelia II will operate in the Great Lakes with seven-day cruises between Toronto and Duluth. Later in the fall, the ship will cruise in Canada's Maritime Provinces and the Atlantic Coast of the U.S., followed by itineraries along South America's East coast. From November to February, the ship will operate in Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
Travel Dynamics currently operates the Corinthian II and Callisto. (DE)
